Abstract This study investigates the economic behavior of households in Banda Aceh, a city that uniquely blends cultural heritage and modern influences. The research examines spending patterns, saving and investment strategies, and consumption habits among Acehnese households. Drawing on surveys, interviews, and secondary data, the study provides detailed case examples that illustrate the diversity in household decision-making. In addition, visual representations such as figures and charts are incorporated to further elucidate the trends. The findings highlight the challenges and opportunities that households face in an increasingly digital and globalized economy, while also emphasizing the importance of cultural and religious values in shaping economic decisions. Abstract This paper examines the economic behavior of Generation Z in Banda Aceh—a demographic group born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s—by exploring their spending habits, saving and investment trends, entrepreneurial activities, and the influence of cultural and religious factors on their economic decisions. The study utilizes both qualitative and quantitative data drawn from local observations and interviews, combined with secondary research from digital commerce trends and Islamic finance principles. Examples illustrate how Gen Z in Banda Aceh merges modern digital trends with traditional values.
