Abstract This paper examines the economic behavior of Generation Z in Banda Aceh—a demographic group born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s—by exploring their spending habits, saving and investment trends, entrepreneurial activities, and the influence of cultural and religious factors on their economic decisions. The study utilizes both qualitative and quantitative data drawn from local observations and interviews, combined with secondary research from digital commerce trends and Islamic finance principles. Examples illustrate how Gen Z in Banda Aceh merges modern digital trends with traditional values.
